We are all saddened by the loss of a dear friend but we take a sigh of relief in knowing Bill is not suffering anymore and is in a better place.
It happened the way we knew it would with projects still left to do. A new modem was ready to be installed into his computer that he took so much joy in the night we lost him. We are just grateful that so many projects were able to be completed. The work that Bill did was incredible. He was always talking to social workers and got the ball moving on many cases. His endeavors helped provide computers and give assistance to many people. We had many people assisting Bill on his computer work and everyone that got to know Bill found him to be an inspiration to them. It can best be summed up by the words of one college student "as an experience that he will take with him the rest of his life".
At this point we want to continued our remembrance of him by creating a memorial in his name. One program Bill was most interested in was the "Doctor of the Year" recognition program. We believe that this program should be continued as "The Bill Elliott Doctor of the Year" recognition program in which Friends of the Disabled will continued to administrate.
We all wish we could of done more to lessen the burden of family and helpers who gave so much.
We're gonna miss you buddy!
